Book Designer: Design by Indigo
Lauryn Hill hired book designer Indigo Design to redesign the book after not being satisfied with the previous agency. The goal was to design a book that was bold, powerful, elegant but with an element of grunge. Strong typography was key, All caps to emphasize the importance of her words.

Specifications
The book is actually a poem titled “The Middle Man,” describing her distaste for the music industries exploitation and a world that holds marketability in higher esteem than truth.
An excerpt of the book says, “If everyone is a product of this society, who will say the things that need to be said, and do the things that need to be done, without compromise?
